Also referred to as the Brazilian Deerhound or the Veadeiro Catarinense, this little- known breed is said to have been created from crosses between imported greyhounds and foxhounds. Although essentially a sighthound, the Brazilian Greyhound can also track by scent if necessary. The short coat is grey or brown in colour and the ears are large, straight and pointed.
