Bullnese

A recent American pet breed that takes its name from its two ancestors, the French Bulldog and the Pekingese.

Developed from French Bulldog/Pekingese crosses, this breed was created by Bobby Rice of Florida at the end of the 20th century. It has bandy legs, bat ears and a snub nose. The head is large and square and the tail is slightly curled. The short, thick coat is soft and dense. Fawn is popular, but any coat colour is acceptable.

Its movements are described as graceful, with a smooth, flowing gait. In temperament it is said to be alert and friendly, making an ideal family pet. Its height is rather variable, from 6 to 12 in (IS to 30 cm). Its weight also varies considerably, from 12 to 25 lb (5 to II kg), suggesting that, as a breed, it is not yet fully stabilized.
