An ancient sighthound found on the island of Crete in the Mediterranean, this rare breed is known locally as the Kritikos Ichnilatis. Its function is hunting hare and rabbit. It has remained on its small island, unaltered and undiluted, for centuries. In colour, it can be black, white, white with black markings, or white with red markings.
