Schnoodle

One of several new American breeds developed from deliberate crosses between two well-known pedigree dogs, it was created purely as a household companion. The name is formed from the first part of Schnauzer and the last part of Poodle.

This recent breed is based on crosses between Miniature Schnauzers and Miniature Poodles. According to Shelly Hanson, a Schnoodle breeder from Isanti, Minnesota: `These dogs do not shed and are great for people with allergies… They are not yappy dogs, but they are good watchdogs.

In temperament they are said to be the perfect family dog intelligent, loyal, adaptable, and good with children. Their height is 13 in (33 cm) and their weight is 10-15 lb (5-7 kg). The tail is docked.
