Toy Xoloitzcuintli

By Arthur

Also known as the Toy Mexican Hairless Dog, this tiny, naked breed was developed in modern times specifically as a companion dog.
This is the smallest of the three types of Xoloitzcuintli. The slightly bigger Miniature and the full-sized Standard versions are both of ancient origin, but this Toy-sized one, measuring less than 12 in (31 cm) at the shoulder and weighing as little as 9 lb (4 kg), was created by the Mexican Kennel Club in the 1950s to provide the perfect hot-country lapdog
